Crocs second UK retail store to open in … guess?

This is so hot off the press its smoking!! So I was surfing around today and found out some interesting new information posted 30 mins ago :)

Crocs is to open a second retail store after its first in London’s trendy Covent Garden (48 Neal Street). Whoo I thought. As I reported on my blog in July last year, Dick Wijsman CEO and managing director of Crocs Europe said “I prefer to be somewhere where the buzz is and let people find us”.

Now where would I site the second Crocs flagship store? Carnaby Steet, Kings Roads further afield, maybe follow Harvey Nichols et al to trendy Leeds, Birmingham’s chic Mailbox or more mainstream cathedrals of consumerism – Manchester’s brand new Arndale centre, possibly Gateshead, at a push maybe even hoody-free Bluewater.

So here’s the job ad I found …..

Store Manager – Crocs New Store Manager

Color your world with Crocs!!! It all started when three Boulder, Colorado based founders decided to develop and market an innovative type of footwear called Crocs shoes. Originally intended as a boating/outdoor shoe because of its slip-resistant, non-marking sole, Crocs quickly grew into a bona-fide phenomenon.

Crocs are now universally accepted as an all purpose shoe for comfort and fashion. Not only do we offer our original clog-style shoes in just about every color under the rainbow, we also offer a wide range of casual and dressy styles for Men, Women, and Children. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative, ever-changing environment, Crocs is for you!

We are expanding by another 120 Crocs stores in 2008, throughout the world! So come and be part of the success.

and the location … Derby, yep Derby in Derbyshire. LOL! Derby is set to become famous for more than the Denby seconds shop! (Dr Crocs made a pottery led pilgrimage there in the 1990s). Black is the new Silver and Derby is the new Leeds apparently.

Next stop Norwich?
