Fake UGGs – When is an Ugg not an UGG?
Real Genuine UGG® Australia Boots and “Ugg Boots”
How can you tell fake “Uggs” from Genuine UGG® Australia Boots? Or when is an Ugg not an UGG? To add to the confusion “Ugg” is a word in general use now for a certain style of Australian Sheepskin boot. So merchants selling products as “Ugg Boots” mostly aren’t selling legitimate UGG® Australia Boots (a Deckers Corporation brand). An annoying number of “Ugg” retailers bring out models that look like UGG Australia boots and have similar names.
My feeling is that though it might not be technically illegal, it is certainly very misleading, and if the purpose is to dupe customers into thinking they’re buying the legit and genuine article when they’re not, then it’s totally wrong. Lots of customers have been duped by the offer of bargain “Ugg boots” and lots are really confused by what’s out there.
UPDATE: Be sure to read my footnote regarding websites with UGG in the name – its at the bottom of this post. NO SITE with the term ‘ugg’ in the domain name sells legit UGG® Australia boots apart from uggaustralia.com the official site.
So how do you tell a retailer is selling genuine UGG® Australia Boots? Lets deal with a couple of issues first.
“Australian Ugg Boots” are not UGG® Australia products
Let’s first clear up one thing – the generic Australian makers of “Ugg” Sheepskin boots, often trading with websites ending in .au and registered to Australian Companies. These guys are generally okay and sell, in the main, good quality sheepskin boots – they often describe their boots as “100% Australian made Uggs”, “Australian Ugg Boots” and the more responsible ones specifically dissociate themselves from UGG® Australia and Deckers Outdoor (the brand owner) in the footer or on the About Us page so customers don’t get confused. These guys have been selling these types of sheepskin “Ugg boots” for years and as long as people understand these products are NOT the UGG Australia® brand then its fine in my book.
Sellers of Chinese UGG fakes/copies are not selling UGG® Australia products
This is where UGG buyers can get seriously stung and have been (see all the responses below). There are a HUGE number of websites cropping up on the Google Adwords system (Googles “sponsored” ads) and in the search results offering UGG Boots that are in fact low quality fakes/copies of UGG® Australia boots.
These websites do nothing to dissociate themselves from UGG® Australia and deliberately set out to trick people into thinking they are buying genuine UGG® Australia products when in fact they are cheaply-made, low quality Chinese fakes shipped direct from a counterfeiting factory in China. Don’t fall for the “factory direct Ugg boots” line or “buy Ugg boots direct from the manufacturer” – they are all bywords for FAKE.
Furthermore there are many many cases of customers being overcharged on their credit card, being asked to pay twice, not receiving any product or receiving incorrect colours and sizes. Packages coming from China are often stopped in Customs – some are seized as brand fakes and for others the recipient will need to pay import duty. All a shock if a customer thinks they are buying legit UGG® Australia boots.
As we have seen in the stories below, after sales service is nonexistent and returns, exchanges and refunds are near impossible – often the websites even demand a hefty restocking fee! Plus you have to pay for your own courier service to China. All in all a total nightmare if you’re stuck with these nasty (and often very smelly) copies and a big hole in your bank balance. These chinese websites only aim is to make money quickly – they are run by people who have no interest in serving customers – in most cases they are breaking UK and US law and many are run by criminal gangs.
If you e-mail them and ask if their boots are genuine of course they will say yes and then spend ages and ages e-mailing nice messages, giving money off offers, freebies etc. until you pay (normally by Paypal) and in a good proportion of cases thats the last you’ll ever hear from them. Often the website closes down within a few days and just like that – you’ve been scammed. Be aware that a whole month’s salary in china can be than the cost of one pair of these fake boots! So its a massively luctrative scam for them.
The intention of this article is to warn customers that these websites are out there in google, yahoo, msn and other search engine search results offering fake products and customers should AVOID them. I have a list of these fake UGG websites at the end of this article which I will maintain as we discover new sites. If the website is on the list my strong advice is to AVOID.
So how can I spot a fake UGG website?
Here is my checklist from all we have found out so far:
1) UGG® Australia brand – it might be a really obvious point but it can identify about 80% of fake UGG sites. The simple rule is … if the product is not described as UGG® Australia then it’s not that brand! Do not be tempted by the fancy pictures because they may well be pictures of genuine UGG Australia boots being used – some fake sites have even taken the images directly off UGG® Australia’s main site! The products on these fake sites are made to look like UGG Australia Boots, some are even photographed standing on boxes that appear to have the UGG® Australia logo printed on them and they are not the genuine article at all.
Don’t be fooled by the descriptions either – if you see a product described as “UGG Classic Tall” or “UGG Cardy Boots” it is not the same as the “UGG® Australia Classic Tall” or “UGG® Australia Classic Cardy”.
Lets be clear – a brand is a mark of quality – products that are not of that brand will not be that known quality. This goes for anything you might buy. The brand that most buyers mean when they talk about real/authetic/genuine UGG Boots is UGG® Australia – no other similar sounding name means that brand. The same as you would not expect Kokacola to be genuine Coca-Cola, names like “Australia UGG”, “UGGs Australian”, “100% Australia UGG”, even “Genuine UGG” are often used by the fakers to fool you – they are meant to trick you. Just remember the brand and don’t be tricked!
2) Websites with UGG in the name
In Aug 2009 UGG® Australia issued an explicit conterfeit warning on their official website. To summarise: Any website’s domain name (thats the bit before the .com or .co.uk) that has the three letters ‘ugg’ in it, is not selling UGG® Australia brand. For example the website uggbootsforsale.com is therefore not legit because it has UGG in the domain name.
This nows covers 90% of the sites you might be concerned about however we are not done quite yet some sites are even more shameless and use the legal name UGG® Australia and have a domain name without UGG in it.
3) Do a domain check – So the website does say UGG® Australia or has what appears to be the UGG® Australia logo but I’m still not sure? Next step is to do a simple domain check to find out who registered the domain, in what country and when the domain was registered. Use the website http://www.domaintools.com and type in the domain name into the whois tool. If the registrant is in China (country code CN) or the domain has been created within the last three months then my strong advice is AVOID. These fake sites are often only live for a few weeks so they appear to be very recently created. If the domain is held by a proxy service or c/o a domain regsitrant like networksolutions then my advice is AVOID as this registrant is trying to hide their identity. On a good honest domain regisistry entry you are looking for a persons name or company name, a real local street address with postcode/zip code and local phone number.
4) What are the other identifying features of fake UGG sites?
Only UGG Boots: UGG Australia work only with a select number of online boutiques and high street retailers. All have other designer brands available in their range. If you see only UGG products on the site then that’s a tell tale sign.
Shipment Times: This is a good give-away! Check the shipment times on the FAQs pages. If they cannot offer a quick shipping option like overnight shipping it may indicate the product are being shipped from China.
Support methods: If the website does not offer a local phone number and only offers an input form for support or a simple to set up e-mail account like gmail of yahoo or IM support then AVOID. Legitimate UGG Australia retailers are much more established sites with proper support methods, local contact numbers and local addresses.
Poor English: If some of the text on the FAQs pages and product pages seems a little odd then take that as a warning sign that the creator cannot speak english – a translation programme may have been used to create the text. If it reads a little odd, has odd turn of phrases then that’s a warning.
Cheap Prices: Remember the odd addage – if it sounds too good to be true then it generally is. Put it this way UGG® Australia is a premium brand sold only though major outlets and established websites that you have heard of before. Deckers deliberatly restrict the brand to merchants with a good reputation and the right product mix – getting Authorised status is no cake walk! General rule of thumb for UK buyers – don’t expect pay less than £90 for genuine UGG® Australia adult boots. This is a PREMIUM brand and expect PREMIUM prices – no fire sales, job lots, factory direct deals. Sorry folks but those are the facts.
If you are asking the question “is this website legitimate?” you probably already know the answer!
Are genuine UGG® Australia products now made in China?
Finally a question I’m asked a lot and one that confuses a lot of people especially if they buy UGG boots from a legit high street chain and find a “made in China” label inside. The answer is “YES BUT”. YES UGG® Australia, like Converse, VANs and many other footwear products today, are now made in China BUT under working conditions and quality standards supervised by Deckers. Many branded goods are now assembled in China and many attract brand fakers. Expensive branded goods in short supply will always attract people wanting to make a fast buck with fake product!
There is a BIG difference here between the fakes and real products – Deckers UGG® Australia uses 100% A1 grade Australian Merino wool and each boot is made to the stringent standards that Deckers expects and supervises. This is a common practice with designer goods – they are then shipped to legitimate UGG® Australia retailers worldwide and sold to the public with all the workmanship guarantees and returns options you would expect with a premium brand.
The Chinese rip off sites are an entirely different kettle of fish. They produce inferior UGG® Australia copies which do not use the same quality materials like nylon instead of wool and sheepskin and poor construction methods or standards – which means the products quickly loose shape, rub and fall apart. Occasionaly the boots come in branded boxes and even have a fake version of the care card – but however convincing they might first seem if your package came by courier from China its 100% FAKE product – no exceptions.
Though both are “made in china” they are two totally different products. If nothing else – let’s be clear on two points.
UGG® Australia do not allow their legitimate products to be stocked in China and sold direct to the public.
“UGGs” shipped from China may look legit but they are NOT UGG® Australia products – they are ALL poor quality copies.
If were just about to buy a product and you have googled the website’s name and got to this article then I hope we have saved you from disappointment. If you have fallen for the “UGG boots” scam then read below about a few sucessful people who have managed to get their money back. It is possible but you will have to register a dispute with Paypal and/or contact your bank.
How can I buy genuine UGG® Australia boots at the cheapest price possible?
I’ve done a ton of work on this. If you are looking for the best prices for the genuine thing my UGG® Australia price comparison pages will get you the rock bottom, lowest prices across the full UK range of Genuinue UGG® Australia products. I’ve negociated some special deals with UGG® Australia approved UK retailers so you’ll struggle to find anything cheaper AND genuine. I’d love to tell you I’ve found adult UGG Australia boots for under £90 but I’m afraid they are still pricey – but they are the real thing and I’ve done my best to get you the best deals on each and every product. Here are the links.
If real UGG Boots are too expensive for you then my best advice is to at least have a look at similar looking high quality products from EMU Australia, Just Sheepskin, Rocket Dog and Skechers (the Keepsakes and Cunning range is good). I have UK price comparisons on each of these brands and tons more on the main website. These options are way better than the junk shipping in from China.
Anyway folks – stay safe and Happy UGG® Australia Hunting!

do not buy from any of these websites – you will be ripped off
Many thanks to all those who have helped me indentify these sites. Sadly this is not a definative list and more sites will be created this week to scam people. Just because a site is not on the list it does not mean its genuine – do the checks outlined above if in doubt walk (click) away.
If you have been scammed then let us know by using the reply feature at the bottom of this thread. Sorry the thread is so long now!!

UGG Australia are beginning to strike back against the UGG counterfeiters. They have made a specific statement which clarifies the legal terms of use of the ‘UGG’ three letter name. UGG Australia has stated that any site with a website domain name containing the word UGG or one of their model names (like CARDY) does not carry genuine UGG® Australia Boots. Let’s be clear – if you see a website claiming to sell genuine UGG Australia Boots and it has ‘UGG’ in its domain name (the bit before the .com or .co.uk) then it is 100% fake. This covers about 80% of the fake UGG Boots sites we have discovered. To read more about this and the steps UGG Australia are taking by clicking the link below to my latest post on this troubling subject.

Many thanks to “Words of Wisdom” for finding this on the BBC website. His advice and comments have been very helpful since this thread was started.
As many of you know I’ve been reporting this problem to all possible agencies like trading standards, BBC watchdog in fact anyone who will listen. I’m please to say the Metropolian Police central e-crime unit have taken action against certain sites using “co.uk” domains to falsely represent themselves.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8392600.stm
“Consumer minister Kevin Brennan said scam websites cost the economy thousands of pounds each year.” — hey Kevin – make that MILLIONS!! (I estimate there’s a million pounds lost just on this one thread)
This is certainly a step in the right direction and very welcome but I must emphasise that this is only a small proportion of what’s out there and the problem is still massive. So please read the above article if you have not already done so.

About three weeks ago UGG® Australia announced the new Winter 2010 UGG Boot range and I’ve been watching to see how long it takes for the Chinese sites to start ripping off the new styles. Answer: about 10 days. As we know these copies are going to be poor but even so that’s really frightening if you are a genuine UGG Australia retailer trying to get resonable ranks on Google and make a living.
Anyway I know is very early in the season but I’ve just been trolling the internet (once again) for fake UGG sites and I now have 500 published above. And yes it was super depressing
As before – anything with a UGG in the domain name is not authentic UGG® Australia product and most are cheap chinese fakes. Wanna give your credit card details to some unknown counterfeiter bod in China? No I thought not – so please check the uggaustralia.co.uk site for genuine retailers or use my Compare tab (top right) and pick UGG Australia from the brand list via the top navigation of this page. We have all the new styles listed.
So this thread is once again destined to be one of the busiest on our blog and feel free to share your stories below and please facebook/twitter/ link to us to get the message out – oh and click our “Like” button at the top of this post.
If you are asking about websites with the word “UGG” in them we’ll happily post your question but your answer is already written very clearly and several times over in the post above.

My sister just received some UGG boots from this site: ajdshoes.com. They were the wrong size, and obviously not genuine UGGS. Also, all the paperwork was in Chinese. She tried to mail them back to the return address (which is one of the mailing addresses you have in this blog), over $100 later, they were sent back. I just found your blog and am outraged over this! Thank you for making consumers more aware of this vile operation going on. Please respond if you have any advice at all on how we can get some money back or make our voice heard to these thieves! Thank you.
Many thanks for your reply Kimberly. Like yourself I am outraged at these people – they have even registered sites that sound like mine which is really hacking me off!
With regards to getting your money back from a Chinese supplier – If you have paid through VISA or PayPal there may be a route to getting them struck off if many people complain about not receiving goods or the goods being brand fakes. That’s only going to help others and not yourself directly I expect. I would always be wary of websites offering goods for Western Union transfers as they probably have the least traceable protection of all. I think as well as the really low prices that’s what originally caused me to suspect they were a bit “dodgy”.
I would encourage people who are reading this blog and have been stung to kindly reply below so we can all build up a picture of what’s going on.
Here’s what I have been able to google and find out about these people.
1) They are running multiple websites selling UGG Boots, Trainer (Sneaker) Brands, Designer Handbags and Golf gear
2) The websites have all sprung up out of nowhere and have totally capitalised the Google Adwords system – this means they will all appear as multiple links in the “sponsored ads” section.
3) If they show a return address (the latest sites to appear do not) they have variation of the returns address shown below. Sometimes this is different floors but it all in the same building.
4) GOOGLE IS GRADUALLY IDENTIFYING AND BANNING THEM! – allofshoes.co.uk has been removed from the google index – it was there three days ago but you can’t find it now by searching on Google or Yahoo or AOL. This is excellent news and I hope the search engines will kill them off before more people are disappointed.
5) The logos for BBB Online Reliability Program and Bizrate Circle of Excellence 2008 which appear on many is all blatant lies. They only redirect to PayPal.
For reference these are the websites I found that all use this same factory as returns address and look similar and I therefore conclude are faces of the same suspect operation.

What can I say i’ve been gullible enough to get ripped off and sent fake uggs am posting this to warn others not to use this site or any other site where uggs will be posted direct from china, buy from well known high street shops only its worth the extra money to know what you are getting is real and genuine.
Please do not use the site above.
I ordered from bootsabc.com – Do not order from this website! I ordered 2 pair of classic tall uggs in grey and only received 1 pair in chocolate. I have been emailing them but have had no reply. There is no customer service phone number. I paid through Paypal so I plan on filing a complaint.
I’ve ordered a pair of Uggs from DearUgg.com &, after reading the above, am now worried that I will not be receiving them or will receive fakes in their place.
Please can anyone advise if they’s used this site or alternatively advise on the likelyhood of receiving my money back through Paypal?
Hello,
only just came onto this site seeing that the ugg.me is a fake site and have just recently ordered some uggs from there.
And i dunno what to do , can i get my money back do you reckon ?
I have used Paypal, but i am not sure if you can get your money back on them.
Many Thanks Alexandra
I have just been stung by ecwarmboots.com. They said my money from paypal was “unmoved” and that I should order again! I received my confirmation from paypal saying that my payment was sent. Be warned these people are scum!
These guys are cockroaches. Google is swatting them one by one (ecwarmboots.com is not longer available through searching on Google) but they are popping up all over the place with new names and new websites. I’ve spoken to the legitimate UGG Australia retailers and UGG Australia is on to it but there’s very little anybody can do about Chinese criminal fraudsters taking our hard earned money.
There was a lady on BBC breakfast this morning from HM Customs and Excise talking about fake Nintendo DS Lite copies on Ebay and she also said that Footwear is known to be a target for criminal counterfeiters and fraudsters. I think we can pretty well determine that all these sites are running unlawfully (at least by British and American law).
Fake UGG Boots websites registered by Yuan Chen
I’ve read some posts on the moneysavingexpert forums and its been discovered the a person called Yuan Chen of Meiyuan Road, Putian, 351100 CN China is the registrant of most of these domains. Many thanks to Chameleon the original poster.
So if you are in doubt check the registants name through http://www.whois-search.com – its very simple to do just put in the domain name ie. goodugg.co.uk and press return. If it comes back as YUAN CHEN or indeed anyone in China (country code CN) AVOID.
To Clarify: UGG Australia DO NOT allow their goods to be stocked or sold by anyone other than their Authorised retailers. There was a big news story recently when it was found that COSTCO had obtained of some legit ones and were selling them in their stores unauthorised – so you can be absolutely 100% sure they are FAKES if the site is Chinese in origin!
I have also found GuGe Co.,Ltd is a common registrant as well.
Here are other Tips on recognising these Chinese fake UGG boots sites
1) Check the contact us page – if there is no legitimate UK phone number and only e-mail or input form support then AVOID. If the e-mail is not the same domain as the website domain or an easy to set up gmail, msn or yahoo address then AVOID.
Some small and legit UK sites offer e-mail support only but none that I know of the have genuine UGG Australia product for sale and do customer support this way.
2) When you Checkout and the personal details page is NOT secure (the SSL padlock is not shown on the browser) then AVOID. Just the thought of all this customer financial and personal data on a dodgy server in China is enough to give me nightmares!
3) If you read some text and it contains very Poor English then AVOID
4) All the shiny NextTag, Bizrate, ControlScan and BBB icons and “There currently are 375 guests and 235 members online” messages are all there to fool you into thinking this is an established trustworthy website – AVOID
5) If you want quality genuine UGG boots that last please purchase from well known and established retailers. My website (link below) and blog have plenty of discount prices for true UGG Australia products.
http://www.alltheshoes.co.uk/uggs/ugg_boots.html
I also list price comparisons for the EMU Stinger range which is a comparable and well regarded 100% sheepskin boot range and a little cheaper than UGG Australia. On my website there’s also Rocket Dog boots and plenty of other EMU footwear products that are also wool lined.
6) If you have bought products from these websites and given away any details that could be used to defraud you – like passwords that you might use on other websites – then I would recommend changing your passwords on those other other sites. Lynda’s comment is making me very concerned by what these guys might get up to in the next few days and weeks.

Hi, there you mentioned genuine ugg sites can you please pass one on to me. I am now in a panic I won’t be able to get my daughter the boots for Christmas. I can’t even get genuine ones from office in town as they don’t have her size.
Thanks, Lynda, Aberdeen
Hi Lynda,
Sounds like you might not have found my website yet … My UGG Australia page is this one – there’s a Kids section halfway down.
http://www.alltheshoes.co.uk/uggs/ugg_boots.html
This is the most popular style of UGGs for Kids
http://www.alltheshoes.co.uk/uggs/ugg_boots_classic_kids.html
I’ve also posted details this morning of some cheap UGG Australia at MandMdirect – they have a few sizes and colours which will be snapped up quickly – they also have Kids Ultra Short UGGs at a very cheap price. I’ve not had time to post this style up yet.
Most people are buying from Cloggs and Shudoo (with my **exclusive promotional discount codes** that you find in the TAB in the top left of this blog).
Jones Footwear has some too (but not kids). You will find just about everyone has their own version of UGG-like wool lined boots but if you are after UGG Australia Genuine Skeepskin Boots the use the link above. Office do have genuine UGG Australia online but they also probably have their own cheaper version probably too.
I hope this helps you.

Regarding emwarmboots.com – I have also recently been fooled by this website.. I have payed by paypal and have requested my money back through that. Does anyone know if i will actually recieve the boots though and are they noticable as fake ugg boots? They were a present for my daughter and she is now very worried she wont be recieving them at all for christmas!
thanks for the leads yes I did order another pair this time from Shudoo. Double the price of the fakes but hopefully the real thing. I don’t hold out any chance of getting my money back. I am sure they have done a runner. Lets hope they are wearing fake uggs and fall flat on their faces!
Thanks, Lynda
Regarding uggonly.com: This website not only just ripped me off but refuses to work with me to correct the mistake. I ordered the UGG Classic Cardy. They sent me The UGG patchwork boot, Not only are they fake but they refuse to refund my money or send me a return shipping label. If anyone has ideas as to how to get these sites down please let me know as I am overly frustrated about my situation. Thanks,
Calli
Been ripped off by ecwarmboots too..payed through paypal but dunno how to get my money back as am not very practical of this stuff..
becky
My daughter sent me a link to allofugg.com because the UGG boots were heavily discounted. When I tried to purchase them, the final screen stated that I needed to list my social security number. Needless to say, I promptly exited the site. I have since looked up the registrant of the web site and found it to be in Beijing. Beware of this site!
Debbie
ordered boots from ecwarmboots.com last weekend. Really worried now as can’t contact them and haven’t received boots. Can I get my money back through PayPal?
Do not use this website! – goodugg.co.uk. It is registered to The one and only YUEN CHEN. I have sadly been taken in and duped by this site and am now searching for a genuine pair of ugg cardys. I paid through paypal and was wandering if anybody could advise me on how to get this money back.
I was just wondering if you knew if SheepskinShoes.com is an actual website where real UGGs can be purchased? Thanks.
From what I can determine SheepskinShoes.com is a legitimate US based website. It is selling genuine UGG Australia footwear plus some other “UGG” products like phone cover that are not associated with UGG Australia. Their BBB membership is genuine also and checks out on the BBB website.
In each case its clear what is and is not Deckers UGG Australia. Hope this helps you make your choice.
Happy Holidays!
hi,
can someone tell me if ugg langleys purchased from asos.co.uk are the real deal? They have made in china in them but they are different from regular uggs so that may not make a difference. They look real but seeing as this is the first pair i have id like to check!
thanks
has anyone purchased from the website uggsdream.com they appaear to be genuine UGG but at discounted prices
UGG Langley is refered to as the “Ugg Long Leather Buckle Detail Boot” on the ASOS website. ASOS will be selling genuine UGG Australia for sure.
As regards “made in China” – I know that Crocs are made in China under licence and quality control from Crocs Inc in the States (they used to be made in Italy then in America but like most things China was a cheaper place to mass produce). Its probably true of UGG Australia too. There is a diference of course between a licenced factory (which would be bound by contract to never sell direct to the public), and the scam artists we have described above.
There is another interesting point here. Websites like ASOS, Littlewoods, Next etc rarely use the actual official Boot or Shoe name to make it hard for you to do price comparisons and find websites like mine – my price for UGG Langley today is £42 cheaper than ASOS!
I’ve done a Domain look up of uggsdream.com (as described above) and it comes back as YUEN CHEN so my strong advice it don’t touch it! let me know what you are looking for and I’ll try to point you in the right direction.
For those looking for a cheaper quality alternative to UGG Australia I’ve also posted on my blog details of the EMU Stinger range – okay they don’t have “that label” but they are a well regarded range of quality boots at around half the price of UGG Boots. Maybe something to consider…
My price comparisons for EMU Australia are here
http://www.alltheshoes.co.uk/emu/emu_boots.html
sent a message to ecwarmboots through paypal and the guy tells me they have already been dispatched and gives me the nubmer and a website to track my order..do you reckon i will eventualy get something, surely not original?
hi
has anyone bought from allofugg.com? I’m not sure if this is a genuine site. Also allofboots.com, anyone know if these two are the same company?
uggonly.com are a definate scam. I got fake Uggs and now they refuse to return any e-mail correspondance to confirm their returns address – does anyone have this?
I’m taking it through my bank to have the transaction reverse as fraudulant activity somehow.
Cathie – both allofugg.com and allofboots.com are fake UGG sites like the ones people have been stung by. allfofugg.com is registered by YUAN CHEN – the same guy that I’ve been warning about.
Neither sites sell Deckers UGG Australia brand products but they have used the logo to fool people.
Has anyone dealt with ugg.4myboots.com. I got the address from someone and figured that they checked them out to make sure they are the real deal. But after seeing it mentioned on the page I a growing very weary. If anyone knows anything about this site it would be a great deal of help!
Is it true all genuine Uggs are now made in China?
Sorry china!!
i bought some cardy ugg boots of a website called likeugg.com i have recieved them but i am not sure wether they are fake or not. If they are how would i get my money back? i payed through paypal. the package is from china and all the writing is in chinese HELP!!
4myboots.com has also been registered by YUAN CHEN, likeugg.com is also registered in China to a person called LI ZHEN. Neither website sells UGG Australia products.
A quick summary of what we know so far
1) You CANNOT buy authentic UGG® Australia boots direct from China. UGG Boots being sold direct from China are FAKES
2) The many many Chinese websites that are all over the Google Ads system are selling IMITATION UGG Australia Boots – they are inferior quality to the genuinue article.
3) If you do get what you ordered in the colour you ordered and they fit you are lucky – many people get the wrong size, colour or nothing at all!
4) After these people have taken your money they will not be interested in any aftercare. I know of nobody who has been successful in getting a refund or a return.
5) If you want genuine UGG Australia boots then its in high demand and therefore short supply this Christmas. Therefore no retailer has to slash the prices to sell them off. There are deals but no silly prices out there for the genuine article.
Once again my UK deals can be found by clicking the link below – including **Exclusive** discount codes I have negotiated myself with Cloggs and Shudoo (which are the two biggest Authorised UGG Australia online retailers in the UK).
http://www.alltheshoes.co.uk/uggs/ugg_boots.html
Hey guys,
Recently puchased pair of uggs of Hellougg.com which I now know to be one the corrupt websites from reading the above. I was gutted that I fell for this and decided to email them constantly for them to get back to me but they simply were ignoring it. I told them that I would be reporting them to paypal and fair trading. Upon filing the claim to paypal they said they would look into the matter and should have some kind of feedback within 30days. Well I have checked my account this morning and the have refunded me the full amount, to which am hugely greatful to paypal for. I ordered the boots monday night filed the claim to paypal tuesday nite and now have been refunded by wednesday morning. Just thought Id post this for 1 type of success story against these gansters and hopefully most will have the same outcome eventually.
Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone could tell me if the website musthaveugg.com is a genuine site? All these fake sites have me worried where my money is going.
Thank you all.
Hi,
We just bought last night from a web site called RueDeMode.com selling uggs for $129.99 and on sale for $109.99 and shipping was only $5.98?? Anyway you can tell us if this is a fake site or fake uggs? i’ve been searching all night for answers and nothing about this site comes up for fakes. There was no phone number or address on the site, was paid in us dollars and the link to email wasn’t working and undeliverable and sent back to me. I also did a yahoo search and other search engines and nothing comes up for RueDeMode.com thanks so much
I’ve been exchanging e-mails with various people all afternoon on this matter. Confirmed to Rhonda and E Ricks that both sites above are selling fake UGG Boots.
I think this problem is bigger than we all realise right now and that 100s if not 1000s of people are being stung this Christmas. This is also happening to both US and UK internet shoppers.
With that in mind I have informed both BBC Watchdog and ICC Commercial Crime Services (CCS) which is is the anti-crime arm of the International Chamber of Commerce.
Its so depressing when genuine retailers are trying so damn hard this Christmas to stay in business and these scroogies come along and shamelessly rip off the public.
If someone who reads this wants to take this up with US trade protection authorities then please get in touch with me via the reply button below.
Just about to click proceed on hellougg.com when i noticed this site…. yep – forwards to China, and not suprising the reason i’m having to buy a 2nd pair for my wife is the last lot lasted only 6 months…. seems she’s been done before.
Anyway, thanks for the wise words. An orders on it’s way to Cloggs although the ones she originally wanted appear to have been out of stock since Oct ’08 – how can they not have ordered more by now?
I ordered a pair of short sand ones from uggonline-uk.com and I’m pretty sure they are fake!
Paid through Paypal, any way I can get my money back? Would try contacting the guys on the website but unlikely to get a response.
yeah so i ordered some uggs from uggonly.com and its been 3 weeks and they have not responded to any emails or anything.. and i just checked there website and it no longer exist.!! they are scammers!
I am looking for some UGG boots and have been looking at different websites, i have found inugg.com and it says:-
“We are not affiliated with Deckers ‘UGG Australia’ brand and do not sell their product. Ugg and ugg boot are generic terms in Australia describing a pull on sheepskin boot with eva sole. INUGG designs and makes it own ugg boots and is not affiliated with any other brands.”
I also looked at bootsabc.com
neither have addresses or contact numbers on the website, but inugg.com states that they have a contact number, but i cannot find it!
these are quite clearly not genuine UGG Australia boots. But is there some authenticity to them? They are priced at £69.99.
Hi I am really upset i bought a pair of uggs at uggbuy.com i used my debit card right afteri gave my info i didn’t get a trcking number i immediately called my bank i’m waiting for them to investigate.
I too was scammed big time with two pairs of fake uggs at uggonly.com. The website no longer exists, and Paypal will not dispute my claim. Does anyone have any information on resolving this?
I bought a pair of Ugg Short Boots from bootsabc.com back in November. It arrived 2 weeks later and when I open it to see how it looks like, I became suspicious. The shipping label came all the way from China and the box was wrapped in a black plastic bag. The box was badly damaged from shipping. I inspected the boots right away and of course I spotted the defects. The first thing I noticed was, the right shoe label on the back of the heel was crooked and the left shoe’s stitching was coming off. I emailed them back on Monday and got a reply two days later. They want me to take pictures of the boots and I said NO! All I wanted is to get my money back and return the fake Uggs. I reported it to my credit card issuer and they will help me resolve this problem. But it’s gonna take a while. I just want to warn everybody not to order from bootsabc.com They are a bunch of crooks!
hi everyone,
i found this link/website to go for help on getting scammed and frauds… http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php
i plan on using it if i don’t get the boots by next week.. also emailed the company again… and nothing sent back to me. If no boots and/or fake ones sent to me, complaints will be going out from me… it will be an all out war on them.
here’s how to file complaints, etc…. make sure you read the FAQ’s….
http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
hope all works out for everyone… we must fight back.
Rhonda
I recently ordered 2 pairs of uggs boots from uggstar.co.uk, the day after the website had disappeared there are also others that have had the same problem. I emailed the company and got an email back from mary saying that there website was encountering problems and they were trying to fix it .. well i now know that not to be true. Luckily they have not tried to take the money from my account. I feel really stupid about being taken in by these people. so beware
I too, ordered a pair of uggs on 11-27 from uggonly.com and have not received them yet. I have received an email about the status, the tracking number and the Worlwide Express Mail Service. The tracking information is saying they have arrived at a sorting center in the US. Right now my main concern is to get the merchandise. Now I’m wondering if everything they have sent has been a scam? Is this a legitimate mail service???
Help?? What should my next steps be??
Sherry I am in the same boat i ordered from uggonly.com as well and they stated a week delivery, I opened a claim with paypal after a week went by with unanswered emails, now it states the boots are at my post office unit, i will change my claim through paypal to item received not as described, we should team up if u paid through paypal. The website is no longer available
Regarding ptugg.com – I too have fallen into the trap of ordering a pair of UGG via an internet site, as not realising how easy it is to fall into this trap, genuinely believed the site looked like UGG site, as UGG logo etc. They were £90 plus postage which was cheap, and the pictures looked realistic, for someone that didn’t have a pair of real UGGS. Surprise they have turned and and are counterfeit. I have tried to e-mail them, as the site also apparently has a 30 return policy, but guess what I have no idea where to return to, as not contact address and the shipping slip is in chinese. I have tried to contact the seller via paypal disputes and haven’t heard anything. Paypal also said that although items SNAD, they cant be held responsible for copies. Help have I lost my money? Chris
Hi
i ordered a pair of UGG boots for my daughter from goodugg.co.uk
They have taken my money not given me any shipments info now over a week.
DO NOT BE CAUGHT OUT THIS COMPANY IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED
saw Ugg boots for a great price on goodugg.co.uk and almost ordered them but was suspicious when the GB pounds price suddenly changed to US dollars at the checkout. I emailed goodugg to query this and guess what…..no reply. Also the FAQ says you can contact them by phone but guess what….the contact us info is email only. Also the domain goodugg.co.uk is registered to Yuan Chen so the words, bargepole, don’t, touch, with come to mind.
We fear we are 1 of hundreds of people to be rip off by
COZYUGGAUSTRALIA.COM. Who take your money and do not send the goods.(NOT EVEN THE FAKE UGG BOOTS) It look like we will kiss good by to the £78 and have to spend another £170 to get the proper UGGS
PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COMPANY AS WE HAVE DONE
