Genuine UGG Boots and fake UGG websites
UGG Australia has recently published an explicit counterfeit warning regarding Genuine UGG Boots on the official UGG Australia website. The full details are now on UGG Australia’s website click for the Official UGG Australia guide on Counterfeits and UGG fakes.
The UGG Australia warning contains some helpful clarification which can assist in the identification of fake UGG websites – that is websites claiming or appearing to claim their product is genuine UGG Australia boots when in fact the products are fake Chinese UGGs.
I quote “If you are viewing UGG® Australia product on-line anywhere other than uggaustralia.com and the domain name includes “UGG”, or any variation of this word, or includes one of our style names in the domain address, e.g. “Cardy”, this product is most certainly counterfeit.”
A good proportion of the fake UGG websites we have identified so far on this blog do have the word UGG in the domain name so this clarification from UGG Australia marks them out definitively as fake UGG websites.
With the help of my blog readers I have now identified 500 fake UGG websites. You’ll find the full list on my original fake UGGs post.
The other two pieces of news I have on the subject of Genuine UGG Boots vs fake UGGs came from the London firm of lawyers appointed by Deckers / UGG Australia to enforce their trademarks within Europe. They got in touch with me recently and thanked me for identifying fake UGG sites (credit goes to those who responded to my initial post on the subject).
UGG Australia’s lawyers are now trying to get these fake UGG sites removed from Google search results. If you have noticed the message “In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org.” in the search results – this is a result of complaints made on behalf of UGG Australia. UGG Australia are focusing initially on websites that are using some of the stock images to mis-represent their products i.e. UGG Australia images on fake UGG websites.
The second thing is that Google have now stopped companies using the terms UGG and UGG Australia in the Google adwords (sponsored Ads) system unless they have been pre-approved as genuine UGG Australia stockists/retailers. Speaking to some retailers this has meant a frustrating delay on getting their own legitimate Ads approved. Also looking at the sponsored ads returned for common search phrases like uggs, ugg boots, ugg boots sale and cheap ugg boots shows that the fake site have just adapted their text to circumvent the new Google trademark infringement rules. It seems they can use UGG in the middle of a word so they are using combined terms like ukugg, australianugg, 09ugg etc to tempt people to click their ads.
As I’ve said before this is all depressing stuff and means that this coming winter, like last year, thousands of customers will be ripped off by Chinese fake UGG sites and although some steps have been taken by Google and UGG Australia, it shows just how difficult it is to stop internet fraud when the fraudsters are so determined and well resourced.
The only solution is to educate people that there are tons of fake sites out there and that to avoid being ripped off and they should purchase their Genuine UGG Austalia Boots only through suppliers they know and trust.

I have the same problem everyone else does. Why can’t the websites be stopped from displaying false information about items they sell?
foryourboots.com site is now down….they have taken payment from hundreds of people and then run of with the money!!!!!! Opened a dispute with paypal and then called my bank..they will investergate…….
I to placed an order on what I thought was a genuine site, obuybootsshop.com who seem to trade under gobuyuggboot.com I have had email contact with ‘sales@gobuyuggboot.com’ who tell me they are waiting for the money to reach their account. I ordered my boots on 3/12/2010 I have now reported them to http://www.actionfraud.org.uk and would suggest that if anybody has had a similar problem with these two companies to do the same as these companies are still trading……
Don’t buy from official-ugg.com the Uggs are fake. Did arrive and fairly good copies but not real and are shipped from China so could be seized at customs.
This is my follow up from above on the 17th Dec 2010. I know have recieved my boots from GOBOOTSSHOP.COM after waiting for nearly 2 months and they are very very bad copies! Please be aware of this! Look ok but very bad copied, still hoping i can get my money back from my bank as there fakes,
Sam Ross
Ordered boots from gobootsshop.com. They arrived but were nothing like the advertised picture on the website!!! even down to the colour which was different. i have a more genuine looking pair from newlook which were only £10!! and as for sheepskin, im still looking to find it but in its place is a cheap looking fluff like santas beard!! wouldnt feel as cheated if they looked remotely similar!
I ordered from the same website storebestboots.com on 12/12/10. I thought this was a genuine as it used paypal. So i ordered, the money went out immediately, i got a bit suspicious when i never recieved a confirmation emailand the status on website account hadn’t changed from processing. This is when i looked the website up and found that other people had ordered and not had any boots or a response from them. I tried to contact the email address on the website but no response. I opened a dispute with paypal on the 24/12/10 claiming that they were a bogus website on i’d not recieved the boots. I then recieved an email from paypal with there response which gave me a link to a website lwe.com.hk/Default.aspx and a tracking number. I have tracked my boots and this is there status…… 23-Dec-2010 07:50 LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT, UNITED KINGDOM Customs Info-HELD FOR INSPECTION. Paypal are still reviewing the claim and i’m still waiting for my money back!!!
still not received or heard anything from storebestboots [ordered on 8th dec].they advertise delivery in 3-5 days but must mean 3-5 weeks. have contacted paypal but as yet nothing If i do get them i am expecting a load of crap DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM STOREBESTBOOTS.COM or anything by the name of caiyun liu or liucaiyun.
I ordered a pair on the twelth of December and still havent received any! Money was gone instantly, and thy won’t reply to any of my e-mails. So raging!
@katrien 4th jan 2011 not received anything
regarding gobootsshop.com: DIABOLICAL, ordered 2 pairs of boots on the 12th of december and have still recienved nothing. i have emailed the gobootshop e mail address several times. The boots were meant to be part of my christmass pressent from my mum and they have still not arrived. I am contemplating on sending a further email with a threat to report them to action fraud and the authorities to see if it does any good. it is ridiculouse. My tracking status is currently handed over. I do not have a clue what this means or where the boots are.
Does anyone know anything about this site meyboots.com. It looks very genuine does not use Ugg in the domain name has the Uggr detail, references Decker but when I checked who’s the site is it comes up as a Xiongshi Xie. Anyone any info?
regarding gobootsshop.com: Yep, looks like another scam. Ordered boots before Christmas recieved relatively quickly but they are not Uggs, no where near. AVOID..
Same old story, you get what you pay for !
I ordered from hugeuggboots.com and they are fake!!! I usually wouldn’t have been so careless and would have avoided but my stupid boss at work told me he had ordered a pair and they were real so I believed him! I’m in the process of trying to get a refund but I’m not going to get my hopes up too much. I paid by paypal so hopefully they can do something if the website goes down, but maybe not. Has anybody had any successful returns?
I ordered a pair of ugg boots from uggboots-sale-uk.org and had confirmation email saying my payment had been taken but no ugg boots have arrive. I have tried to email them several times and they dont reply. Does anyone know if this is a fake website
I ordered UGG boots for my girlfriend on the 10th of december and they have still not arrived, I am also curious as to who my money has gone to as my internet banking says i have payed “SH GOUTU TOURIST ICD” the same amount I owe gobootsshop.com, is this a scam and will i get my ugg’s or money back?
My husband ordered me some uggs off gobootsshop.com for a christmas present he ordered the on the 10th of december and we recieved them the begining of january and they are fakes this site should be removed.
Wish now i had seen all your comments before i brought 2 pairs from gobootsshop.com. Might have saved myself a small fourtune. Kids wanted a pair of real uggs for christmas so we started to look end of November found this website. Really thought it was the real thing, so I ordered 2 pairs on the 2nd December 2010, given tracking number etc. First pair arrives 15th December 2010 daughters opens parcel as parents where not in when parcel arrived. We then had 2 weeks of hell “these are fake, there rubbish, why can’t you get real uggs” It’s now 10th January 2011 and we are still eaiting for the second pair. Been sending emails every other day since the 20th and we have heard nothing. Checked bankstatement and found money went out straight away from one account and have found another debit 5 days later from a different company all together (SH GOUTU TOURIST INFO. SHENZHEN CN). So it might have been cheaper & better for me to go out and buy the real things from a shop and pay there price. That way my 2 daughters would be now, both wearing there new boots which they want for christmas.
Puts you off buying anything off the internet again.
I just made a purchase from this company cheapbootsroom.com – now I am wondering if I made a mistake. i did send dispute to paypal to reverse my payment.Anyone ever deal with them.
regarding my previous comment about gobootsshop.com . i emailed threatning to get action fraud, recieved an email back saying they would look in to it. 1 week letter still heard nothing back after that
Just sat and read all these recent emails written by various people and wish i had read them prior to ordering ugg boots for my daugters christmas. I like many many others ordered ugg boots from gobootsshop.com on the 29th of November and still have received nothing. I am absolutely gutted at this, have sent 7 emails and have received reply’s that they are really busy and they will be in the post tomorrow, never heard such rubbish, don’t know how these people can live with themselves. I like many others paid by debit card as it would not accept my credit card and the money was taken out my account within a couple of days from SH GOUTU TOURIST INFO. SHENZHEN CN. I have now learned that as i paid with visa debit i may get my money back. I have also informed the police of this but due to postal delays i was told to give them another 4 weeks and that time is now up so i am going to go back in and see if anything can be done. These people should not be allowed to get away with this.
Do NOT BUY FROM UGGWAY.com they are cheap rubbish imitations pretending to be the real think, they admit upon complaint that they are fakes but refuse a refund claiming I should be happy that I haven’t paid full price!!!
Took weeks to arrive, no invoice, crap quality, don,t even compare to the original thing. These sites should be removed from the Internet as they are conning people and can’t even communicate in proper English.
has anyone recieved anything yet, i think this people are all the same, FAKE!!!!!!!!!!. As soon as they recieve payment, the website disappeared, i think they should be traced back to china and get them apprehended, im so gutted as i ordered not just one but 5 pairs, contacted paypal and they also sent me this website and a tracking no. lwe.com.hk/Default.aspx, can anyone tell me how to track the no pls. im over gutted!
Regarding CHEAPBOOTSROOM.COM ~ DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I ordered my daughter a size 5 classic short UGG. They arrived & look very nice but look very small. She tries to put them on and they are very snug. She thinks they will stretch. She’s worn them about 5 times and was complaining something was sticking into the back of her leg. We look, someone glued a size 5 tag over what is really a size 4 boot!! I can not find a contact phone number for them. I have sent 3 e-mails and have not heard back from them.
BEWARE ~ DO NOT ORDER FROM CHEAPBOOTSROOM.COM !!
Regarding gobootsshop.com:
Ordered ugg boots on 6th december and got them 21st of january. The boots are very fake and want a refund. I paid by direct debit with my visa debit card, has anyone got fake boots and still got their money back?
My bank said to phone the number on back of visa card. So will have to try that tomorrow.
i orderd a pair of ugg boots on the 12th december from styleboots.co.uk who took payment immediately and gave me a tracking number. when i tracked them they were held in london heathrow airport at customs and have been ther since december. the website is now gone and ther is no way of contacting them i advise any one thinking of buying a pair of ugg boots to buy from a retailer on the high street and not from china. any one whos orderd boots from china and not yet recived the goods then contact your bank and ask to speak to the dispute team and they will sort it out and refund your money for you.
@Ryan
Help! Does anyone know the vat or tax identification number of the site ugguus.com?

Has anyone used. Ugg-Australia-uk-sales.com. As I ordered pair of boots on 18th December and have not received them have tracked them and it’s says they are in customs at heathrow have contracted them and told me deckers have collected them. And I will not be receiving them. How do I go about all this? If anyone could help thanks
hi, i too ordered 2 pairs of ugg boots from gobootsshop.com on the 28th november. and have today recieved a letter from parcelforce. saying they are counterfeit and will not be delivered to me. i see this company is still trading and has to be stopped.PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY THEY DONT RETURN MY E MAILS NOW I AM AWAY TO THE BANK NOWW TO SEE WHAT THEY SAY ANYONE IN THE SAME BOAT TO CHINA. DIANE
i too order two pairs of boots and too recieved nothing but a letter telling me they were fake and going to a incinerator. these theives are slill tradeing please do not buy from them gobootsshop.com. went to see my bank they think i will get my money back hoping to get my money back but will wait and see. we were waiting for two months for the boots and they are not repling to emails. bring back the indians cause thse lot are definetly cowboys.
us.offical-ugg.com is a Scam site who uses a third party company masterpay.com to take your money. Also a fraudulent site. Do not order the boots are FAKE.
uggshoppe.us is another scam site. The website is almost identical to the real one but the company is based in…..you guessed it China, even though the domain name is registered in the US!! The website is still up and running but keeps disappearing and re-appearing! The thing is I emailed them and they keep replying saying they are real and don’t worry (in very bad English). Anyway after a fair few exchanged emails they have said I can return the boots if I like but it will cost $40 in shipping and they will take 20% off a refund issued for a handling charge (funny because I paid in sterling, oh and was charged by my bank to covert currency!!). I’m not prepared to pay any more money out even for a part refund in case I get nothing at all, and then have no fake boots to send to Trading Standards! I have to wait another week before I can raise a dispute with my bank….here’s hoping!!!!
Oh what a thill I feel. I have been waiting 3 weeks for my boots from goboots.com. I thought something was wrong when I did not receive a return email. What do they say? If it is cheap it cannot be right. Good job I already have the real thing in another style and I can accept the cash loss as many people cannot afford to do this. Can nothing be done about these sights? I am now going to my bank to see what they can do.
I ordered a pair of uggs on the 05.09.11 and guess what payment taken the same day and I’m still waiting for them!!! Have sent emails every day this week and not one response, have contacted my credit card company who are investigating. lesson learnt never order from goboots.com!!!!
BrandBoots.net, snowbootsstore.net are many others are also fake. I bought some off snowbootsstore.net, it wasnt until after i read “We collect and store information that you enter into this web site or that you provide to our Customer Service Department. For example, when you open an account or place an order, we collect and store some or all of the following information that you provide: name, billing address, shipping address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number and expiration date.” i thought holy cr@p, ive been mugged off, so i cancelled my card before payment was made and sent several emails to the address and the owner ( domaintools site helps you track down when and where and who made the sites ) and gave them a peice of my mind. Avoid anything that looks too good too be true, because most of the time, that is exactly what it is.
regarding mysnowboots.co.uk: Purchased two pairs of ugg boots from this website no confirmation or anything from them they have taken the money from my bank not expecting to recieve the boots why are people out to rob ppl all the time, couldnt stop the payment from being taken It was showing as pending and still is when i log in but my moneys gone PLEASE BE AWARE!!!
Does anyone know if the following sites are genuine, I.have had a look on the fake list but can’t see them listed:
Shoebox2010.co.uk
Bestherveleger.com
Thanks
