Genuine UGG Boots and fake UGG websites
UGG Australia has recently published an explicit counterfeit warning regarding Genuine UGG Boots on the official UGG Australia website. The full details are now on UGG Australia’s website click for the Official UGG Australia guide on Counterfeits and UGG fakes.
The UGG Australia warning contains some helpful clarification which can assist in the identification of fake UGG websites – that is websites claiming or appearing to claim their product is genuine UGG Australia boots when in fact the products are fake Chinese UGGs.
I quote “If you are viewing UGG® Australia product on-line anywhere other than uggaustralia.com and the domain name includes “UGG”, or any variation of this word, or includes one of our style names in the domain address, e.g. “Cardy”, this product is most certainly counterfeit.”
A good proportion of the fake UGG websites we have identified so far on this blog do have the word UGG in the domain name so this clarification from UGG Australia marks them out definitively as fake UGG websites.
With the help of my blog readers I have now identified 500 fake UGG websites. You’ll find the full list on my original fake UGGs post.
The other two pieces of news I have on the subject of Genuine UGG Boots vs fake UGGs came from the London firm of lawyers appointed by Deckers / UGG Australia to enforce their trademarks within Europe. They got in touch with me recently and thanked me for identifying fake UGG sites (credit goes to those who responded to my initial post on the subject).
UGG Australia’s lawyers are now trying to get these fake UGG sites removed from Google search results. If you have noticed the message “In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org.” in the search results – this is a result of complaints made on behalf of UGG Australia. UGG Australia are focusing initially on websites that are using some of the stock images to mis-represent their products i.e. UGG Australia images on fake UGG websites.
The second thing is that Google have now stopped companies using the terms UGG and UGG Australia in the Google adwords (sponsored Ads) system unless they have been pre-approved as genuine UGG Australia stockists/retailers. Speaking to some retailers this has meant a frustrating delay on getting their own legitimate Ads approved. Also looking at the sponsored ads returned for common search phrases like uggs, ugg boots, ugg boots sale and cheap ugg boots shows that the fake site have just adapted their text to circumvent the new Google trademark infringement rules. It seems they can use UGG in the middle of a word so they are using combined terms like ukugg, australianugg, 09ugg etc to tempt people to click their ads.
As I’ve said before this is all depressing stuff and means that this coming winter, like last year, thousands of customers will be ripped off by Chinese fake UGG sites and although some steps have been taken by Google and UGG Australia, it shows just how difficult it is to stop internet fraud when the fraudsters are so determined and well resourced.
The only solution is to educate people that there are tons of fake sites out there and that to avoid being ripped off and they should purchase their Genuine UGG Austalia Boots only through suppliers they know and trust.

@Irma Fourie Hi I took mine fakes to a authorised retailer (kurtGreiger) and they wrote a letter for me to send off to my credit card company, haven’t heard anything back yet. Good luck
@erin
i got a pair of ugg boots from cloggs.co.uk and they arrived dead on time and they were deffo genuine and they are so cosy! anyway….if u are looking for real ugg boots and you can payin US dollars, check the only real website, uggaustralia.com coz its really useful and you can find real ugg boot stockists!
@caz
Hi Yes I have and they definetly are fakes my husband bought me a pair for xmas dont have proper sheepkin and not genuine sole.
Sorry!!!!
Does anybody have any dealings with this website, uggstore.cc,they are selling classic short uggs with a 48% discount £57.59 it seems a real bargain maybe to good to be true.
Any help is much appreciated
kind regards Dave
Regarding deckeruggboot.com: I paid over £70 for a pair of bailey button boots. They arrived after a week from CHINA , stinking of laquer, bad stitching, not real sheep skin! Contacted the site, they said they’d refund me, so i sent boots back (12th January), and now they’re ignoring me emails and i’ve had no refund!
My daughter has a pair of genuine ugg boots and when searching on google uggsboot-saleuk.com came up as a suggestion having checked the word uggs and description they matched her genuine boots. We order two pairs of classic and one baby infant (the infant price is very similar to the genuine sellers). The two pairs looked excellent and I was sure they were genuine. However there is a problem with the baby uggs – we ordered blue and got brown. Also there is a scratch on them and the fur lining is coming away. I have tried now for two weeks to get a response from the sellers various websites. The seller come back today saying will offer a generous discount if you purchase more. The one’s I have are not suitable for a present! I don’t think I will get any where having just found these comments about fake uggs and fake websites and the website I used being one of them! I think google should not allow the fake websites to advertise and con us.
I stupidly bought some boot off UGG-MALL a month ago, I checked everything out but sadly not enough. They have used the pages of the Genuinne UGG’s website and I cannott believe they are allowed to do this. They arrived stinking of glue and are made in China, the only way you can contact them is via a chat room. They offered me £20 refund but to keep the boots and then it whent up to £40 refund and to keep the boots. I insisted on my legal rights and they stopped replying, I am fuming about this and have tried to contact Google as they are on their site. Does anyone know if I can do anything or have I truly been had?
Just to let everybody know ( I have several postings previously) that I went to dispute with my credit card company and have today been refunded with the full amount of the boots. Never again will I buy a ‘bargain’.
@Shireen Smyth
I have ordered from Uggretailer.org and the boots they send are fake. They never sent me a shipping confirmation although were very quick to take my money. The boots arrived after about 2 weeks but we so obviously fake (smelt of plastic and glue, different size and colour to genuine ones and the zip broke)! I gave up trying to contact them directly and have had some communication through the online payment processor instead. Not sure they are actually sending my e mails to the seller but at least I have a contact. I have put in a dispute form with my credit card as well. A warning to everyone – DO NOT BUY FROM UGGRETAILER.ORG.
Never buy UGGS With JUMBO UGG LABEL. It is fake. They will tell you in their website and stores that “they are the best in the world”
They 100% Fake and will not last you very long as they promised. They are very slippery and loose on the back of the leg, or when you buy them to tight then you rub a whole in a front with in few months.
what a joke.
BE CAREFUL, They telling you that they are made in Australia from the best sheep skin. Yes they are made in Australia by Chinese and not the best quality check as the factory is shit in Melbourne. The sheep skin are vary some are good and some are cheap.
Also they don’t have proper sizes as they write 6-7 or 5-6
Regarding Uggway.co.uk: I bought 5 Pairs of Uggs, only received 2 as customs held my other package due to fraudulent copyright reasons. £200 down the pan for fake Uggs that arent worth £10 a pair.
To check if sites are fake you can type the website on uggaustralia.com, alll the sites people av listed are fake according to the official site, you can also check which shops/ websites are official sellers of UGGS!!
can anybody tell me if au ugg collection (s).com is fake or not? i ordered from them last night?
I’ve just bought a pair of uggs from uggstore.com.au. Can anyone tell me if this is a genuine website? I’ve only found this forum after my purchase and now feeling worried I’ve bought fake uggs.
@kate
HI KATE WHICH CREDIT CARD COMPANY WAS THIS AND HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT GETTING THE REFUND IVE JUST DISCOVERED MINE ARE FAKE
I bought mine fron ebay BUT they were from the shuch store ex display nothing wrong with them bargin at £51 they have about 8 pairs of ex display all still on pretty low prices al though some have gone for £100 also i know there genuine as schuch are a massive shoe store found all over the high street, so glad i did my research as i was realy lucky with my last uggs i bought from america but they were genuine i would just say its better to save up or wait until a big high street store has a sale you might as well buy a pair of fakes for 20£ and they still look better than what some of you have described just remeber you are unlikely to get uggs online for 60£ expecialy baily buttons as thier the new design.
Regarding baileyuggboots.co.uk: I purchased a pair of Airdondack ugg boots from this UK website only to learn the boots were shippped from Hong Kong. Once my payment had been taken i was unable to cancel, the boots arrived in 3 days and were too big! I have requested a refund on the grounds the boots are too big and have been advised to wear thick socks! On advice i have cancelled the card the boots were paid for on. All the photos on the website were genuine, in hindsight the price was the give away ( recently i have seen these on sale in new york at £150). This is big business in CHINA and feel consumers should be better protected. On the website it states 100% genuine ugg Australia……….NOT
Hi – I’m desperately trying to find some UGG Tasman Women’s Slippers in Chestnut – I visited some friends in California recently and they had some. I’m in the UK and most of the US sites won’t ship to the UK. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Hi Connie
I bought 2 pairs from uggstore.com.au and they were fake.
Hold onto them and cancel your credit card payment, this is what i did. do not return them as you will not see the fake uggs or your money again. Mine arrived with a hole in them and bad stitching. After 26 e-mails not answered i got onto credit card company and they were aware of this site and they stopped payment for me.
Best of luck
Tracey
hey fraises! i also ordered from that site and canceled the day i ordered them!! they said i only need to pay 10% so i did!! because i want real uggs!! they didnt answr me back yet but i am hoping they wiill return the uggs!!!
I just bought a pair of the classic argyle knit from uggclearance.com. I was skeptical at but I bought them anyway because it was such a great deal ($96 and free shipping to the US). After I made the payment through paypal, I didn’t receive any confirmation emails or anything like that so I started looking further into it and I’m pretty sure I just got ripped off. I sent an email to cancel so we’ll see what happens
Has any one ordered from Au-Uggstore.com?
Do not order from uggclearance.com ! After sending the email to cancel, 3 days later I get an email from them saying “we will check it” no hi or hello or an order number or anything. So I sent them one back saying to email back and let me know if they checked the order and then another 3 days later sent one back saying that they have no record of that order and to check my card. I paid using paypal so I’m going to call them and see what they can do but from what i’ve heard they wont do much. This is the only way I know to warn everyone. Any website that has the 3 letters “ugg” in their domain name is a known counterfeit website… except for the official ugg website uggaustalia.com. If you go to their official site and click on counterfeit education it will let you type in the website that you are thinking about buying from and will tell you if it is a known counterfeit website or not. Also if you see a website that says there’s a sale or clearance its probably fake uggs. If it seems too good to be true then it probably is. Your best bet is to save up the extra money and either buy them in an authorized retail store or on ugg’s offical site (uggaustralia.com).
Regarding Au-Uggstore.com
@Connie
Hi i have ordered two pairs of UGG boots on uggstore website and they are 100% fake. I am so disappointed.
I just bought a pair of the classic argyle knit from uggclearance.com. I was skeptical at but I bought them anyway because it was such a great deal ($96 and free shipping to the US). Hi all, I was frantic about getting a new pair for winter. I came across an ad on ebay for geniue uggs at rock bottom prices. I check on one off the images & it directed me to a site called onlinebestboots.com. They were selling classic tall’s for £61.99. I got so exited by this that I ordered them right away thur paypal. I got an email back to conform the order (the order confirmated looked 100% geniue. Then the alarm bells started going off when I saw the paypal receipt, the money was made out to somewhere in china. So I emailed them just to see what the story was, but it proved fruitless as I never received a reply. I emailed a few times now but I’ll never hear back. I going open a paypal dispute now & see what happens.
Beware of the free p&p they offer, its very easy to fall for it.
Here is a new one for the list. I got duped as well and thought I would never me the one…imagine. I did receive boots but they are obviously very crappy made and I know they are fake because I own authentic uggs purchased from department stores. Stitching is off, glue all over the soles, hard soles at that. They do not fit right and didn’t even get the right color. I have requested information for refund but I keep getting email responses from them stating that they don’t know why I don’t like the boots. REALLY…..because they are fake I bought 2 pairs costing me over $200 and they want to play games with me. I am disputing this with the credit card company at this time hopefully trying to get a full refund. Stay farrrrrrrrrr away from this site. I should of noticed indicators this website was counterfeit but by the time I hit purchase and realized it was redirecting me to an international money exchange site it was already too late. I was under the impression the company was US based..all info stated it would be then I get a package from China with fake smelly boots. Stay away from discount-uggsboots1.com please……..I have not found much for complaints about this site….must be a new one
@Cacia
regarding onlinebestboots.com has anyone actually received their boots ordered? i ordered some on sunday got receipt from paypal but nothing else have emailed them twice but not had anything back. thanks
@sarah
I ordered 2 pairs over 2 weeks ago and havent heard a thing I have sent numerous emails but no response as yet. Have you heard anything yet?
i ordered a pair of ugg boots on cloggs.co.uk .does anyone know if they are real?
don’t know if anyone knows about this website yet but STAY AWAY! thought they were really good prices and completely fell for the free P&P! my boots arrived from china in a cheap DHL parcel/ bag thing and were a funny colour with bad quality lining (not real sheepskin) and hard soles. i tried to get a refund and they will offer 10% and i keep the boots. i told them i wasn’t doing this so they have said 15% which i also rejected… wish i’d just bought the real ones!!! don’t use findingugg.com !!!!
H! I have bought a fake ugg from skyonline. com.
@Claire Hi Claire, Cloggs UK is absolutely an authorised UGG Australia retailer. You can trust them to have only genuine brands. Cheers, Miss H from All the Shoes
I have ordered “Ugg boots” from gobootsshop.com and the money was swiftly taken from my credit card. I found your site and realised I’d been ripped off so I rang my credit card company and they said they could sort out the problem but I should wait until the boots arrive. Has anyone ordered boots from this site which now seems to have disappeared as I can’t get on it anymore?
I bought fake uggs from uggboots-outletsales.in. They are just ripping people off.The uggs are shapeless and they smell of glue. I told them to give me my money back and they said they can offer me $8 refund.I said no I am going to report they and they raised it to $10. They are a bunch of thieves. I feel bad I even gave the website to my sister and she ordered two pairs. Please do not buy from them they are thieves. If you contact them they will say ” No our shoes are good have a good day”.They are jokers. I’ve learnt my lesson, I’ll never buy anything from China again.
Luci I haver got the boots yet bt I started a dispute via paypal an they finally responded and apparently my boots on there way that was last Sunday they must b fake as email was in broken English and there coming from china
Has any one got there boots from onlinebestboots.com yet, if so what are they like???
I ordered a pair of the bailey button boots from boots2uk. Guess what? They’re fake! Couldn’t believe it! Cost me over 80.00! I feel sick. Paid by debit card so the money is gone. Has anyone else had dealings with this website. Emailed them the minute I found out but not expecting a reply. Any advice anyone?
@Zoe
HI I ORDERED 4 PAIRS FROM THIS WEBSITE LAST WEEK AND GOT NO EMAIL CONFIRMATION AS WHEN THEY WERE TO BE DISPATCHED. I HAVE PHONED THE COMANY TWICE AND THEY HAVE SAID THEY WILL REFUND THE MONEY TO MY CREDIT CARD WITHIN THE NEXT 4/5 DAYS BUT I DONT HOLD OUT MUCH HOPE!!!!!!! I HAVE SPOKE TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND THEY SAY THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SORT IT OUT FINGERS CROSSED!!!
@Zoe
Hi Zoe
i to ordered from this web site at the weekend and are gutted to hear what i have heard about the fakes, i to have tried to get back on the website but cannot but i think google have finally blocked them. the only way i can get on the website is through the domain page on this website.
@Zoe
Hi Zoe I also order from gobootsale.com and havent received the Uggs. They have emailed me the tracking number for the parcel but that seems to be invalid. I also can’t get into the website now. I will give it to till the end of the week then I might have to try to claim through my credit card.
@chris
i ordered a pair of bailey button boots from onlinebestboots and finally received them yday. They are fake although they are very good copies comes on box, tags, ugg gift card, hard soles just like my genuine pair from office the only difference between the fakes and my real ones are the ugg logo on the back of boot is black where my other is white and has the sun logo. if i didnt already have a real pair then i would hav assumed these were real. i was going to dispute it with paypal but has decided to keep the boots as they are nice and the sheepskin is lovely along with the boot although £60 is very expensive for a fake pair.
Regarding onlinebestboots.com: have you had your boots yes – I ordered from the website a week ago but still not received mine. Have e mailed them 3 times with no reply.
anyone had their orders from onlinebestboots.com?? Ordered 10 days ago but still no delivery, money taken from account the same day. Sent 3 e mails with no reply – no other way of contacting them?? I have paid using paypal so think I will contact them.
@Zoe
i’ve ordered from gobootsshop on the 21st and not heard anything, as anyone else used this site and received any?
DO NOT ORDER FROM THE WEBSITE OFFICIALUGG-UK.COM. i have made the huge mistake of ordering a pair of tall bailey button boots. I recieved them two weeks late in a shabby plastic bag, and the three buttons on each boot have been ripped off and thread hanging out. I paid £69.75 by debit card please no one else buy.
Guys, read your comments above re: not being able to find gobootsshop website. This might help you track them down. I was just about to buy cheap on sale uggs from this website: ukbootsoo.com – but something told me it was too good to be true/ At the bottom of the ukbootsoo.com website, they have the registered domain name as © 2010 gobootsshop.com – which makes me think that whoever they have tried to scam and have had their old website shut down, they’ve opened up another website.
Be warned guys. Sometimes if prices are too good to be true, they sometimes are. This ebay review might help you as well to see which are real or fake uggs. reviews.ebay.co.uk/HOW-TO-TELL-A-FAKE-UGG-BOOT-Picture-Comparisons-UGGS_W0QQugidZ10000000003018695
It quotes: 14. Finally the price is a huge clue. Genuine UK sourced Decker UGGS are at least £140 – anything substantially less and they are probably fakes. US sourced short UGGS are at least £70 and tall UGGS £85 – again anything less and they will probably be fakes.
Good luck! Thanks for your advice
my boyfriend ordered me a pair of boots from this website ugggsaleboots.com 3 days ago when i looked it up i realised it was fake, we have emailed them to try and cancel the order but the money has came out his account and no reply to the emails, i will email them every day to get this cancelled but is there anything i should say in the emails such as threatining to report them to google or deckers or is it a waste of time? Has he just thrown his money in the bin?
regarding: classicbootsnet.com. Is this place a fake? The site behaves very much like the official ones and has phone numbers etc.
I haven’t ordered anything yet.
@mark
hi i orderd aswel and have no heard anything, is it fake and will i recive these boots?
