Genuine UGG Boots and fake UGG websites
UGG Australia has recently published an explicit counterfeit warning regarding Genuine UGG Boots on the official UGG Australia website. The full details are now on UGG Australia’s website click for the Official UGG Australia guide on Counterfeits and UGG fakes.
The UGG Australia warning contains some helpful clarification which can assist in the identification of fake UGG websites – that is websites claiming or appearing to claim their product is genuine UGG Australia boots when in fact the products are fake Chinese UGGs.
I quote “If you are viewing UGG® Australia product on-line anywhere other than uggaustralia.com and the domain name includes “UGG”, or any variation of this word, or includes one of our style names in the domain address, e.g. “Cardy”, this product is most certainly counterfeit.”
A good proportion of the fake UGG websites we have identified so far on this blog do have the word UGG in the domain name so this clarification from UGG Australia marks them out definitively as fake UGG websites.
With the help of my blog readers I have now identified 500 fake UGG websites. You’ll find the full list on my original fake UGGs post.
The other two pieces of news I have on the subject of Genuine UGG Boots vs fake UGGs came from the London firm of lawyers appointed by Deckers / UGG Australia to enforce their trademarks within Europe. They got in touch with me recently and thanked me for identifying fake UGG sites (credit goes to those who responded to my initial post on the subject).
UGG Australia’s lawyers are now trying to get these fake UGG sites removed from Google search results. If you have noticed the message “In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we have removed 1 result(s) from this page. If you wish, you may read the DMCA complaint that caused the removal(s) at ChillingEffects.org.” in the search results – this is a result of complaints made on behalf of UGG Australia. UGG Australia are focusing initially on websites that are using some of the stock images to mis-represent their products i.e. UGG Australia images on fake UGG websites.
The second thing is that Google have now stopped companies using the terms UGG and UGG Australia in the Google adwords (sponsored Ads) system unless they have been pre-approved as genuine UGG Australia stockists/retailers. Speaking to some retailers this has meant a frustrating delay on getting their own legitimate Ads approved. Also looking at the sponsored ads returned for common search phrases like uggs, ugg boots, ugg boots sale and cheap ugg boots shows that the fake site have just adapted their text to circumvent the new Google trademark infringement rules. It seems they can use UGG in the middle of a word so they are using combined terms like ukugg, australianugg, 09ugg etc to tempt people to click their ads.
As I’ve said before this is all depressing stuff and means that this coming winter, like last year, thousands of customers will be ripped off by Chinese fake UGG sites and although some steps have been taken by Google and UGG Australia, it shows just how difficult it is to stop internet fraud when the fraudsters are so determined and well resourced.
The only solution is to educate people that there are tons of fake sites out there and that to avoid being ripped off and they should purchase their Genuine UGG Austalia Boots only through suppliers they know and trust.

ordered a pair of uggs from onlinebestboots over 2 weeks ago didnt rec a confirmation email so escalated a claim through paypal.had to wait 10 days for the seller to respond(which they didnt) so paypal adv they would refund the money. now the company has appealed the paypal claim and im no better off!!!stay away from these fake sites! not worth the hassle
I would suggest DO NOT use gobootsshop.com website….very suss!!! Received order email and that’s all…no payment confirmed order…and when payment taken from a CHINA account…therefore, think boots are fake!! I have now contacted my bank to raise dispute over payment. It is now in the banks hand and I hopefully will receive refund if boots don’t arrive, also my bank now has there details and will take up separately as does not seem a bonafide company! Very very dodgy in deed
@trish
I went on Storebestboots.com a few days ago to order boots. A few minutes later I became suspicious and contacted Paypal who stopped the payment. It seems that the same website is now Foryourboots.com. BEWARE !!!!! They are ripping people off and then chaning name every few days.
Regarding goboots.com: I have ordered boots 9 days ago. I cannot believe that ppl honestly believe they are genuine at the price paid. OBVIOUSLY they are gonna be fake. You just dont get UGGs at £60 !!!! I havent received mine yet, but as a regular online shopper, expect them to take a few weeks.
Right GOBOOTSSHOP.COM, after you make an order you should get an order number come up (example GT12547), its a bit like a confirmation. With that order number go back onto the website and go to the very verg botton right hand corner of the page and you should see in very small grey letters Order Tracking, click on that and a new page will load and go through the pages until you find your order and across from your order number will be i think a 13 digit Tracking Number like EE44 ect. Once you have that Tracking number go to parcelforce.com and follow the directions. Ive just done this but my parcel is being held at gatwick and ive been waiting over 5 weeks so at the bottom of that page it says Contact us so iv sent and email and now waiting a reply. Hope this helps you guys, once or if my boots arrive i will update on here to let u no what there like. Oh and the email given on the website Is non existent but i managed to find an email address and they respond in English and quickly its ‘sale@gobuyuggboot.com’, they offer 24 hour Support. Hope this helps. Sam Ross.
@Jenni Whelan
Hiya, i received my ‘uggs’ from gobootsshop.com today, i ordered about 2 n a half wks ago. They are darker than what i expected, they have small buttons on instead of the big buttons and look a bit flimsy. they look wearable but there obviously fakes so mine will be going in the bin!! mine only cost £38.44 and a few people seem to have paid £60+ for them. im gutted i wasted my money but a lesson was learnt!!!
I’ve just ordered boots from gobootsshop.com. Site looked genuine, got an e-mail back from them with my order details, but nothing to say they’ve been shipped. Taken my money straight away, paid with credit card so hopefully should get money back if no boots turn up. Wish i’d seen this site first, would never have ordered.
@ray
I have ordered from foryourboots.com and have not received anything from them (neither product nor communications) – luckily I paid by PayPal and am now going to escalate my dispute to a claim – thanks for this information it has helped me to make my decision
@Regina
I bought from the same website and I am pretty sure we got ripped off considering all of the comments I have read on here. They sent me a tracking number and the boots are on the way but I already reported it to my bank so hopefully I will get my money back and throw the boots in the trash when they get here. But this is only speculation for right now. Plus everytime I e-mailed them I would never get a response, I should have just sucked it up and bought the UGGs from a retail store.
@julianne
gobootsshop.com: I too bought off this website by debit card. I cant believe its fake. Is there anyway to get my money back. I cant even contact the company. Any ideas please.
Anyone know anything aboutofuggboots.com? I think it might be fake because some of the English is bad. Prices are good and I think the pictures themselves might be of genuine ugg boots when I compare them with the official Australian site.
i ordered 2 pairs of ugg boots from gobootsshop on the 11dec they took 264.00 out of my bank i can not get a reply after emailing them 6 times the amount was 114.00in total so i am well and truly upset cos i know now its a scam
hi i ordered uggs from gobootsshop.com and i did got them but it took a couple of weeks i got a certificate with them but i dont know if these are still really how else can i tell
@Regina
Regarding usuggaustralia.com:
Sharon says:
I ordered 4 pair of boots on 12/2/2010. Visamasterpay collected $342.00. I got nervous when I didn’t receive a notice of shipping and tracking number. I have sent numberous e-mails to Visamasterpay and and usugg, but no response and the phone numbers are also deadends. I did have e-mail addresses because I saved address into my favorites, but if I go to type address in it goes nowhere. I am so sick about this. This was my 3 daughters main christmas present. I knew I should have ordered directly from Ugg official website, but I thought I was saving money….what a joke. I’m calling my bank on monday and seeing if they can do anything. I’ve been laid-off for 2 years now,trying to survive on one income household for a family of 5; my home area has no jobs, and money is tight, there’s no way of replacing this money for presents. These people should be ashamed of themselves scamming decent, hardworking people trying to survive in this dreadful economy. What do I tell my girls ?…..
@Trev
caiyun liu? yes same over here!!! did you allready received it?
regarding uggbootsoutletbuy.com: they charged my account and the bank shows: martialartssupplies.com
OMG… what company is a genuine company who can guarantee christmas delivery?
ready to cry in richmond
@Beverley
did your boots arrive ?
Regarding gobootsshop.com: Our daughter of 16, desperate for some ugg boots found this site and with her Dad ordered some ugg boots with her hard earnt cash from her saturday job. I really hope that the boots turn up for her, She will be heartbroken otherwise. We have waited 3 weeks so far, with no confirmation email or anything. I hope these peolple, whoever they are, can sleep on Christmas Eve. From a staying positive Mum.
@Noel
The information on genuine UGG® Australia Authorised UK retailers is in my original post (in the bottom paragraph) and on the main website. The main link is here http://www.alltheshoes.co.uk/uggs/ugg_boots.html.
All companies listed are Authorised retailers and you’ll need to get priority overnight shipping to be certain of delivery before Christmas but its all still possible.
Dr Crocs

@Sam Ross

Regarding GOBOOTSSHOP.COM: AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH SO ANNOYED!!!!!!!!
ARE THEY EVER GOING TO ARIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Sam Ross
Thank you your comment was helpful , I have been able to track mine as far as China. Cant see me getting them before Christmas…
Regarding ugg-australia-4sale-uk.com:
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE!! i was aware that maybe the boots i ordered were fake but as a friend suggested it i thought i would give them a go… i have had nothing but complete hassle from this website and so has my friend. i ordered the boots on 3rd december thinking i would have enough time before xmas as their delivery was 7-14 days. i kept checking their website a week later and my order still said ‘processing’ i emailed them saying as i have not heard from them in over a week I would like to cancel my order. I had an email back the next day saying they cannot refund me as they posted the boots to me via DHL on 6th December. They sent me a tracking number and i tried to track my parcel (dont forget this is nearly a week after they claimed they had posted my boots) nothing, no identifiable tracking number. so i called DHL directly and they said nothing has been picked up with that tracking number… i email them again and they say they have sent my boots but DHL’s WEBSITE IS SLOW (yeah right) i wait a few more days with the same to& fro of emails and then finally i email them saying i want to see proof they have posted my boots. they then send me a new waybill number, i go and track this package and it says that my boots have been delivered to a Mr. TURNER in LEEDS (i live in Derby) i phone DHL and they say this package was not intended for me. i email this website again going completly crazy and they say its now the postman’s fault but they cannot refund me. then weirdly enough i track my original number again and it says that my boots have been collected from Dubai….FINALLY I THINK!…. oh no, later on that day i get an alert saying my parcel is going back to the shipper… i call DHL and they say that the shipper has stopped the package. i email the website again and they say they sent my boots and a MR. Turner in LEEDS has accepted delivery!!! Sorry for the long post but its infuriating! Their english is awful and you get 1-liner email replies…. i was stupid enough not to buy these on my credit card but debit card, however barclays have said i can claim via VISA for not receiving my boots… hopefully i get my money back. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DONT BUY FROM HERE!!!!
Regarding goboots.com: please dont be a mug like me!!!! sounded genuine looked genuine but as the saying goes
if its to good to be true, it usually is!!!!! they took my money ,75pounds but no boots.
cannot get in touch they didnt reply to my email, no phone number to ring. trying to get my money back from the credit card company. these people need stopping!!!!
@ray is same here. i did order two pairs for christmas and didnt hear anythink yet. but i do have a order no!! dont know what to do.
@julianne I have ordered from here on the 14th, and i still dont have mine. I have sent them two emails but no reply.
UPDATE re onlinebestboots boots ordered on 29th nov and i was sent a tracking no which ems carriers web site did not recognise, so i raised a claim with paypal also they would not reply to my emails. So around dec 18th i tried the tracking no again on the ems website and it came up they were posted on the 14th dec and reached the uk by the 19th and were collected by parcelforce in coventry on the same day and boots were delivered to me on the 23rd dec.
I HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE WHO WAS IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME.
Regarding GOBOOTSSHOP.COM I have ordered a pair on the 7th of december, emailed them and got a reply on the 11th and since the 16th my boots are apparently waiting to be shipped from China and i’ve just spent Xmas without my pink Uggs
If some people have received theirs i somehow still wanna hope but is that just me being stupid..? And are they even real?
i have a lot of experoence buying uggs online and i have had some really bad experiences. I used to buy what was advertised as replica uggs and must say was happy with the boots and the service, however i have bad experience with sites claiming theyre genuine uggs. First time was ausuggbootshop.com o paid 90 euro each pair, they were bad quality fakes, fake fur lined and wierd sizing. I had no response from the complaints and my credit card wouldnt refund coz i couldnt get a shop to state on paper they were fake. Uggsinstock seemed very proffessional, i paid on 11 november and still havent received them, their staff are friendly and are apparently trying to help, i have opened a clain with pay pal. The last one, they swear are genuine uggs they go by the name of australian uggs usa and also hellougmart, they have sent the uggs by dhl after a few days i didnt hear anything i contacted dhl with the tracking number they said it didnt exist or the tha package hadnt left the facility, i contacted Nel at Hellougmart and she said they were sent, every day i mailed her telling her what dhl had said, after 2 weeks i got a new tracking number that stated the package was sent 2 days ago. They tried to deliver the package yesterday but they wanted 30 euro import tax my husband didnt have money on him so they will come back today. Before i ordered i checked this with the company and they promised there would be no import tax and if there were they would pay it. I have contacted the company and they say im a liar, there was no one home thats why i dont have my boots and that i lie about having to pay tax. There are many many fake ugg sites operating from china who swear theyre the original uggs factory, but their uggs are lower quality, often the sizing is way out, the leg of the boot too narrow and the foot too big. Watch out for companies wanting the money too quick and companies using paypal and western uinion.
does anyone know how or to whom i can report dodgy sites?
ordered from what looked like a genuine UGG website gobootsshop.com on the 8th of Dec and received a confirmation email almost instantly from gobootsshop.com.
Nothing further so chased by email on 23rd Dec and received a reply with a tracking number.
Checked the number on the Parcelforce website which showed package passed to carrier in Beijing.
Package arrived next day containing boots of different sizes ! (I had ordered size 6.5 but received one 7 and one
Boots are poor quality fakes (not as tall as genuine Ugg’s,much thinner material and very poor stitching with a hole appearing through it in one place).
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE !
regarding gobuyuggboot.com: the web site was professional, all shots of REAL Ugg boots, so ordered them and received lightweight plastic with fur fabric lining (which was coming loose). Fortunately Master card have promised to get my money back. I guess the answer is never to use debit cards. @dee
regarding foryourboots.com: O dear! i should of read this site first!!! I have ordered boots but not reecieved them! paid via paypal……I am going to phone my bank in morning and ask them to reverse the payment
Bought boots from foryourboots.com immediate payment and pre Christmas delivery, NOTHING ever arrived. Now the website is offline!
Have filed a claim on paypal but not hopefull
I ordered a pair of uggs for our lass on 22nd Dec from foryourboots.com, took money quick as, received tracking number which actually works!! however, tried website again.. website not available!!! God knows what will arrive. Lessons to be learned here me thinks. “if it sounds to good to be true, it usually is!”.
Regarding gobootsshop.com: I just cannot believe this is so fake really taken in by it. paid for a pair ugg boots on the 5th December 2010 still waiting keep getting emails back with excuses that there bank has taken the money but it takes long time to process the money into there account. really upset as these were a christmas present from my mum. I have just emailed them again asking them to send the boots on even if there fake least i will fill like i have received something for my money…
hi i am in the same predicament i ordered boots from gobootsshop.com on the 13th december when i track them they are still in bejing not moved since the 17th december,ive rang parcel force but there is nothing they cn do and they said its dodgy,worse if youve paid by debit card god knows how long ill wait if i ever recieve them.however i have been able to track who made the website and ill give them the benifit of the doubt for another week or so then ill try contacting this person :

@trish
i have just odered from them and it is fake, ring you bank and they will get the money back asap for you, annoyed me because i got this website of ebay!
i ordered boots from storebestboots.com today and they took the money straight away, i tried to go back onto the website as i was a bit suspicious and the website had gone! so by that point i was FUMING!!! i rang the bank and they said that this has happened a few times and to ring them when the money has cleared out my bank, and they will get the fraud team onto it, i also got onto paypal ( this is who i used to pay for my boots) and they said it would take a while for a claim to go through because they need proof and all this, i doubt i will get the boots as this was a chinese person who took my money ( i did not know this utill they emailed me sayin they took the payment) TOTAL FAKE AND I WOULD NEVER EVER DO THIS AGAIN, i should have just gone to the shop and got them instead of being cheap!!!
