The Dr Marten Tyree boot reminds me of our ridiculous comedy of errors when we first started tweeting at AllTheShoes. I had just written about the shiny tartan Dr Marten Boot, the McMarten, and had said something about how I imagine Henry Holland would wear it because Dr. Marten boots are fairly fabulous and this one was OTT. So I messaged Mr. Holland on Twitter saying how I thought he’d look great in the Dr. Martan McMarten boot, read about it on my blog, BLAH BLAH. I was in the U.S. at the time, and the next morning I woke annoyingly early at 5am, so I checked our twitterfeed on my mobile. I saw that Doc Crocs, my partner in crime here at AllTheShoes, had written a couple REPLIES to HH while I was sleeping, saying that he thought that the Dr Marten Tyree Boot was a better choice as its actually made for blokes. So, OMG Henry Holland has replied to us on Twitter! My partner Dr Crocs is tweeting with HH! I was as excited as a schoolgirl, and felt like a social media genius, because a fantastic fashion person had deigned to reply to my crushy little admiration tweet about Dr. Martens boots! I immediately cramp my thumbs firing off an ecstatic email to Dr Crocs in the UK SO EXCITED that Henry had replied. I get an immediate reply, saying “why are you up so early?” and some other stuff that was not so intelligible. Then…10 minutes later I get another email from my PARTNER Dr Crocs saying “oh. Oh. OH. I thought @henryholland wrote to us but that was just you writing to him. My mistake.” WTF! durr! My girlish self deflated and was so demoralised that not only hadn’t Henry replied to us, but now we are SPAMMING his Twitterfeed with our ideas about what Dr. Martens he should wear. The SHAME! It was a very sad day in cooperationland, and in our Twitter career, and I’m not certain that I’ve fully recovered.

HOWEVER, all that aside, the Dr Marten Tyree Boot is hot hot HOT, and definitely worthy of a certain edgy fashion designer, or really any guy that wants to rev up his outfit and make a statement.
