Times and technologies have moved on since those heady days of the twentieth century's mid-nineties and the EMU Flinders embodies those superb EMU sole unit technologies to the nth degree. In its genuinely masculine silhouette, the sole is crafted from multi-layered compressed EVA with a cleverly disguised, but very necessary, arch support.

Beneath your feet you get the flexible feel that only genuine rubber can provide. With the resilience and grip to keep you from slipping on sloping rocks and slippery greensward, yet with none of the unrelenting hardness of the cheap competition, EMU Flinders soles have the added benefit that they will not leave skid marks on kitchen floor tiles or entrance hall laminate. On the top side, in direct contact with your foot (since you won't be wearing these with socks will you?), it's important not to have clammy stickiness. With premium leather neatly glued and custom stitched to the upper side of the bottom sole, you are assured of just the right amount of comfortable grip and sufficient adherence to stop your foot sliding about.

Now for the essential strapping system. Two wider masculine straps hold your instep firmly in place. Made of soft leather to give support and avoid those tell-tale tidemarks left by competitors' products, Flinders handsome sandal straps achieve this without being in the remotest sense ugly.
