Kickers

Kickers is a wide ranging youth brand of footwear and clothing. The founder Daniel Raufast saw a poster advertising the musical "Hair" showing barefooted jean wearing youngsters. He wanted to promote a shoe he felt more appropriate for the jean generation and with designer Jacques Chevallereau brought out the first "jean boot". The new shoes were different: nubuk leather were incorporated; short boot shapes replaced shoes; tough natural crepe rubber was use for soles; designed eyelets featured; contrast stitching gave character; panels and appliqu&

233;s reflected the denim application. Within a season Kickers grew from 300 to 12,000 pairs per month and by 1974 Kickers sold in over 70 countries. Sure to be a style to please, step out in Kickers!
