The Merrell Covert shoe is a versatile men's performance hiking and multi sport shoe from Merrell. Covert addresses the needs of hikers and bikers who want to protect their most valuable assets - their feet. Conceived from the start to deliver flexibility and comfort, Covert uppers are moulded nubuck, synthetic leather, and mesh combined to provide durability and exceptional breathability.

Merrell Cycle Tread technology sources the Covert trainer's pedal power and creates the forefoot performance needed for hiking. Water-resistant DWR coating sheds light rain and enables rapid drying if they do get wet. The specially manufactured, grippy Vibram Bushwack soles present top quality traction over a wide range of surfaces and over extensive periods of use.

As versatile for the hike as for the bike, the Covert trainer delivers efficient pedalling performance. First the tread pattern works well with a flat bike pedal. Then by engineering a bike-specific, rigid mid-foot and fusing it with a flexible forefoot the shoe fits equally well for exploits both on and off the bike.

Further key features of Merrell Covert include: a protective rubber rand; heel air cushions; low cut uppers to make longer treks more comfortable; and finally external stability arms at the instep to aid power transfer throughout the gait cycle.
