The PUMA Bluebird trainer shoe stems directly from its introduction in 1982 and proves beyond all shadow of doubt that PUMA have got more gems in their archives than mere standard court shoes. PUMA Bluebird men's trainer is an idyllic amalgamation of colourway, gum sole and a simple silhouette.

First released at the heyday of terrace footwear one-upmanship, the suede and choice of shades appealed to several connoisseurs who found the Cardiff colour appealing. Now PUMA Bluebird makes a welcome return. Originally a lightweight running shoe, the PUMA Bluebird was quickly taken over by Cardiff City FC's terrace culture. The winning combination was premium suede uppers in burgundy, yellow leather form-stripes, gold lettered branding, contrasting laces and a gum mid sole. Other elements included leather lining and stamped PUMA branding on the tongue.

The Black and White version of PUMA Bluebird men's training shoe picked up the 'away' colour combination of Cardiff City FC, whose nickname of course is the Bluebirds. The limited edition Puma Bluebird Shoes, in a reissue from the Puma Archive, is an attractive retro lightweight sporty life style trainer in a street ready style based on the 1982 classic indoor training shoe.
