Toms Shoes

Tom Shoes began in 2006 when American traveller Blake Mycoskie found children in Argentina with no shoes to protect their feet. He created the TOMS Shoes company with an inbuilt promise called 'One for One' - to match every pair purchased with a further pair of new shoes given to a child in need. By the end of 2010, TOMS had given away over one million such new pairs in over 20 countries. Starting with a US re-invention of the Argentinean alpargata shoes, styles now include Botas, Stitchouts, Wedge and Wrap Boots all designed for both men and women (many vegan-friendly). TOMS runs hugely supported 'One Day Without Shoes' days. In April 2010 over a quarter of a million people went barefoot. TOMS mission transforms customers into benefactors.
