Merrell Moab FST Review

The Merrell Moab FST fuses a classic men's hiking shoe with athletic elements and we think they look and fit great.

These impressive lightweight mens shoes have been expertly constructed with a modern mesh, leather and TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) construction, which provides both a breathable and structured fit. Other classic features include a basic lace up closure, so you can adjust the fit to suit your foot shape and a bellows tongue, which is designed to keep out unwanted debris along uneven trails. Most of the colourways within this range feature a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, which adds a further breathable and waterproof element to each sporty shoe and have a supportive Kinetic Fit™ BASE insole design.

Internally we like the Merrell brands M Select™ FRESH treatment, which reduces odour and wicks away unwanted moisture, which during hot and rugged all day treks is a welcome addition. The Moab FST also benefits from the built in nylon arch shank, which adds stability and supports the arches and keeps the fit flexible. A foam midsole cushions, while this brands air cushioned heel feature absorbs shocks. Whatever the weather we know the Vibram® MegaGrip® rugged outsole will add stabilty and durability when you need it most.
